Mr. Simon Chu has been participating in music
productions for over twenty years.
He worked for Nippon Columbia Ltd. in the
beginning of 80¡¦s to promote its Japanese records in both Hong
Kong and China markets. In 1981, he signed a contract with the
that time popular singer Jenny Tseng and also produced the first
digital record ever. From 1994 to 1998, he has been appointed
CEO of the company in Hong Kong.
In
1999, Chu joined Emperor Entertainment Group as the Chief
Operating Officer managing music records and agents personnel;
artists include Nicolas Tse and Joey Yung.
And
in 2001, Chu joined the biggest music record company, Universal
Music Group, as the Senior Vice President of Chinese music
department, co-operating with some popular artists includes Alan
Tam, Hacken Lee, Cecila Cheung and newcomers such as Shawn Yue,
Ivana, 2R, etc.
With well-known connections in China, Chu has
signed a contract with the new artist, Hins Cheung, who is
becoming popular in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia today. Later
in 2004, he has Dao Lang joined to be promoting to all regions. |
